Houlihan Lokey Advises Bonnier Capital AB

Houlihan Lokey is pleased to announce that Clio, a subsidiary of Bonnier Capital AB has been acquired by Danish Lindhardt & Ringhof, part of Egmont, a large media conglomerate based in Denmark. The transaction closed on 9 August 2022.

Clio is a leading digital learning provider in the Nordics with a track-record of delivering a unique combination of a pedagogical digital education platform and high-quality content for more than 15 years.

As owner of Clio, Bonnier has from 2014 developed a leading position as a supplier of digital learning materials to schools on the Danish market and since a few years ago also launched educational services on the Swedish market. The business is now sold to the Danish Lindhardt & Ringhof, which is part of Egmont, a large media conglomerate based in Denmark. Clio's operations in Denmark will be integrated with Lindhardt & Ringhof's education company Alinea and in Sweden the operations will continue to develop under the Clio brand.

Houlihan Lokey served as exclusive financial advisor to Bonnier, a large media conglomerate based in Sweden and assisted in marketing, structuring, and negotiating the transaction on its behalf.
